Sushi Go!

In the super-fast sushi card game Sushi Go!, you are eating at a sushi restaurant and trying to grab the best combination of sushi dishes as they whiz by. Score points for collecting the most sushi rolls or making a full set of sashimi. Dip your favorite nigiri in wasabi to triple its value! And once you've eaten it all, finish your meal with all the pudding you've got! But be careful which sushi you allow your friends to take; it might be just what they need to beat you!

Drafting is a mechanic that is near and dear to my heart from far too much time playing TCGs. Skill testing in a very particular way, any game which allows you to do draft is a joy. Sushi Go! takes the "pick one, pas the rest" element of drafting and combines it with a simple yet elegant scoring mechanism (I have a friend who played this with his 4 year old daughter!) and some absolutely adorable cartoon Sushi characters. A perfect travel game, or step beyond Uno, I encourage everyone to check out the stores copy if they haven't seen it before! Sushi Go Party! mixes up the exact cards and provides more variety for when the base game gets a bit stale (no-one likes stale sushi!)

Perfect for: TCG players who want to scratch the drafting itch without the hassle of playing a tournament, or conversely anyone who likes cute cartoon characters!
